As communities face the suspension of November SNAP benefits during the ongoing federal government shutdown, houses of worship and community organizations are working quickly to expand their response efforts. Millions of Americans rely on SNAP to afford groceries, and this sudden halt puts immense pressure on families—and on the food banks and mutual aid groups striving to fill the gap.

Recognizing that faith-based and community centers are often among the first places people turn in times of crisis, Stoneroller Cooperative developed the SNAP Resource Flyer Generator—a free, rapid-response tool that helps any organization share local food resources clearly and professionally.

This simple bilingual tool (English and Spanish) allows users to instantly create a customized, printable PDF flyer or copyable text version for online sharing. By entering their organization’s name, contact information, and state—and optionally uploading a logo, website link, and adding a note about discretionary or emergency funds—the generator automatically creates a flyer populated with:
  • State-specific EBT balance information (phone and website)
  • Local 211 contact details (call, text, and web) for connection to social services
  • Links and phone numbers for regional food banks serving the selected area
  • Your organization’s contact information and website, with a QR code automatically generated for easy access

With one click, users can download a branded, print-ready PDF or copy the plain text version for use in social media posts, emails, or bulletins.

The goal is to give faith and community leaders a reliable, dignified way to share accurate, localized food access information—helping individuals and families connect to essential resources immediately. Even small congregations and volunteer-run centers can produce professional materials in minutes.

Stoneroller Cooperative believes in equipping community hubs — including churches, temples, mosques, and service organizations — with the tools they need to serve their neighbors effectively. We invite any group facing increased food assistance requests to use the generator and share feedback on how we can continue building tools that support your mission of care.
