Creativity Care ClassesPaper Lithography

Printmaking with laser prints, oil-based ink, and a bit of magic.

Paper lithography is a low-tech, high-reward printmaking method that transfers laser-printed images onto paper using just gum arabic and a wooden spoon. In this class, we explore how to create layered, expressive prints using everyday tools—no press required.

You’ll learn how to prepare your images, burn plates using sunlight or a heat source, and print by hand using non-toxic materials. We'll also explore collage, text, and texture to build rich visual compositions from simple ingredients.

This workshop is great for artists, educators, and curious beginners. Bring your own freshly photocopied imagery (depending on what type of toner your machine uses) or work with what's provided. You’ll leave with a small edition of prints and the skills to keep experimenting on your own.
