Creating tools for a studio where every dancer belongs

Cynthia King Dance Studio is a vital creative home in Brooklyn—offering progressive, high-quality dance education to students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Their approach is grounded in strong technique, artistic freedom, and a deep respect for each dancer’s voice.

Stoneroller supported the studio for over five years, providing consistent, responsive design across print and digital platforms. From recital programs to website strategy, we built tools that worked—and then made sure the team could use them with confidence.

Helping the Studio Step into Its Own Online

Cynthia King Dance Studio needed a website that reflected their professionalism, their pedagogy, and their fierce commitment to accessibility and equity in the arts. We designed and built a custom Squarespace site that centers dancers and families, with clear navigation, strong visuals, and adaptable class schedules.

Then we handed over the keys. We trained the team to update content, manage seasonal offerings, and maintain their digital presence independently. The result? A platform that keeps pace with the rhythm of studio life—without extra stress or tech complexity.

Supporting Every Season—From Postcards to Performances

Beyond the website, we served as the studio’s go-to design partner—producing years of print collateral that celebrated the joy, skill, and growth of student dancers. That work included:
  • Recital and showcase programs
  • Postcards, flyers, and banners
  • Seasonal class schedules
  • Branded templates and internal tools
Whether announcing a winter show or a summer intensive, each piece reinforced the studio’s values: clarity, care, and artistic excellence.

A Visual System That Moves with the Studio

We refined the Cynthia King Dance logo to strengthen its presence in both print and digital applications. Then we helped build a consistent design language—color, type, layout—that staff could use confidently across all their materials.

This wasn't just about making things look nice. It was about giving a busy arts organization the infrastructure to grow, communicate clearly, and stay true to its mission.
