Case Study

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church

Stewardship Campaign for the Nation’s Largest Episcopal Parish

Challenge
St. Martin’s, the largest Episcopal parish in the United States, needed a stewardship campaign that could unify a diverse and expansive congregation while holding fast to theological clarity. The campaign had to build trust, reflect the parish’s values, and sustain engagement over an extended timeline.

ApproachStoneroller Cooperative collaborated closely with the Stewardship Committee, communications staff, and clergy through a series of planning meetings and feedback rounds. Together, the team clarified the campaign’s spiritual and strategic goals, shaped a clear message architecture, and crafted materials that balanced tradition with accessibility. The campaign’s visual identity and voice were designed to carry the message consistently across all touchpoints.

The campaign included:
  • Visual identity and messaging framework grounded in clarity and faith
  • Full suite of materials: flyers, pledge cards, web and print inserts, and interior signage
  • A voiceover-led campaign video introducing the theme with tone and theological weight
  • Internal tools for communication rollout, pacing, and sequencing
  • Ongoing design support to extend the campaign across the full liturgical year

ImpactThe campaign launched on time and  helped reframe stewardship as a shared expression of faith and commitment—resonating across a large, multi-generational congregation. Campaign materials continued to support parish communications after the pledge season ended, reinforcing a consistent tone of clarity and spiritual focus.
