Christ Church in Short Hills
140th Anniversary Campaign & Visual Identity
ChallengeChrist Church in Short Hills, a historic and vibrant parish in northern New Jersey, sought to mark its 140th anniversary with a campaign that honored its legacy while positioning the parish for its next chapter. The goals included deepening engagement, strengthening identity, and supporting a major fundraising initiative—all with design and messaging that reflected both tradition and vitality.
ApproachStoneroller Cooperative partnered closely with the church’s Stewardship Committee, Anniversary Committee, and staff over several months to shape a communications campaign grounded in listening, clarity, and celebration. We conducted interviews, incorporated rounds of feedback, and helped surface the themes that resonated most with the parish community.
We developed a cohesive visual identity and strategy that came to life through:
-
Illustrated Campus Map: Designed to orient guests and visually convey the breadth of the church’s ministries and community life.
- Celebratory Handbook: A full-color print piece combining parish history, leadership reflections, archival photos, and a forward-looking vision.
- Event Materials: Invitations, signage, donor recognition, and gala visuals unified under a consistent anniversary brand.
ImpactThe 140th anniversary campaign raised over $140,000 and catalyzed broad participation across generations. Parish leaders noted that the communications strategy brought clarity and cohesion to their efforts, while members responded with increased enthusiasm and pride. The materials developed for the campaign have continued to serve as templates for future fundraising and events—amplifying both function and form beyond the anniversary year.
